He asked for some lawman threads, and thus, he received!

Wow, I'll have to say... You did a very fine job on the pose and especially the face! The ears look more natural than usual! This work is quite the perfection :D

What program did you use? Did you use a tablet? Did you use the pen tool to color and shade?
Amazing! :+fav:

Hi! Well, I use a few programs, Sketchbook Pro for the linework, Illustrator for the ink, Photoshop for colorwork and lighting fixes, Painter for backgrounds (it's not really elaborate here though).

It's all pretty much freehand on tablet, no pen tools involved.

Thanks for asking!

Ok, cool! That is very very smooth looking freehand. I'm only familiar with photoshop, so does Sketchbook pro or Illustrator help you to smooth out those lines or are you just that good? ;)
How large do you make the original image? Just wondering since it's a common technique to work with a huge image that way the lines are nice and smooth when it's reduced to normal size.
Thanks for answering my questions, bro!

Illustrator is what helps with the smooth linework since it's vector based, but even then, I like throwing in as smooth as possible linework into it beforehand. This would be what my sketches look like (after being cleaned): [link]

Illustrator just helps me fine tune it to 100% smoothness, and I can correct any errors I see upclose. And yes, I do work with higher resolutions! Usually in the 4000x5000 pixels or higher range, depending on the scene I'm working on.

And that's about it! Not often someone asks me what my methods are, so I appreciate that. :)
